All About Aussie

My photo
I am the Australian born puppy of Matt and Nina. Matt named me Aussie, but my birth certificate name is Wildenfox Earl Jackaroo. Wildenfox Earl is for my parents and Matt gave me Jackaroo, which is the Australian equivalent of cowboy. I am an AKC certified Jack Russell Terrier. I can sit, stay, give manners, give high and low five. I only speak on command and when MamaMuffin yelps "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie"! I recently learned how to roll over, that was fun. Nina taught me how to fetch, which took quite a while, but I eventually got it. My favorite toy is my green ball that Matt and Nina put hot dogs in and I throw the ball to release the hot dogs. It keeps me entertained for at least an hour. I also enjoying finding MamaMuffin and Master. I stay in the kitchen, they hide and then bark, indicating it's time for me to "seek" them out: Hide and Seek! We have a lake in the backyard and I love wading in it, but I'm not confident enough to go swimming. My master bought me a life jacket to help me swim or float along easier. Enjoy the pictures my MamaMuffin posts. She can get annoying with the camera...everyday she takes a picture, or so it seems.

and my brother Dillon Murphy

My brother came to us through Dennis's wonderful mom. He is also a Jack Russell Terrier and the vet gave him a birthday of May 1st. He's so much fun to play with and I'm able to teach him tricks, along with my MamaMuffin. MamaMuffin and I will write for him because too young to blog, but we'll convey his thoughts as best we can.

MASTER, MASTER!!!

Master, let me tell you about MamaMuffin today:
a) First, she takes me for a little stroll (after it rained and the sun cam out) down to my favorite spot to get into the lake. MamaMuffin had me sit, she unhooked me from the leash and let me go. Meanwhile I ran down to the water and she got the mail. I didn't go in right away, I waited for MamaMuffin to come over. She had this look into her eyes and this huge smile. She then encourages me to jump into the water in my usual spot. OH MY GOSH! MAMAMUFFIN TRIED TO DROWN ME!!! No wonder she looked like she was up to something: the water level had risen so much that my paws couldn't touch the ground- I had to swim. I literally got dunked under and then MamaMuffin wouldn't help me out. I got out, but she could have help, I mean, I did just almost drown and she knew I'd be startled. The nerve of that woman. Well, I got her back later.

b) After the walk, she brought me back to dry off and she decided she'd start digging along the fence light to begin her planting/gardening project. Well, she may getting her Master's degree, but I assure you, she's a dummy somedays. It must have been 100% humidity and HOT HOT HOT outside and this woman decides to start digging a trench? What? Is she nuts? YES, I think so. Well, I went inside and watched her, b/c I'm not that crazy. I think she thought I was going to hang out with her; she brought a bowl of water outside for me, but duh! I have water inside- in the air conditioning. Here's some pictures. I'd played in the trench for a while, a while being 2 minutes and then I headed inside. Yeah, she followed soon after also!
