All About Aussie

My photo
I am the Australian born puppy of Matt and Nina. Matt named me Aussie, but my birth certificate name is Wildenfox Earl Jackaroo. Wildenfox Earl is for my parents and Matt gave me Jackaroo, which is the Australian equivalent of cowboy. I am an AKC certified Jack Russell Terrier. I can sit, stay, give manners, give high and low five. I only speak on command and when MamaMuffin yelps "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie"! I recently learned how to roll over, that was fun. Nina taught me how to fetch, which took quite a while, but I eventually got it. My favorite toy is my green ball that Matt and Nina put hot dogs in and I throw the ball to release the hot dogs. It keeps me entertained for at least an hour. I also enjoying finding MamaMuffin and Master. I stay in the kitchen, they hide and then bark, indicating it's time for me to "seek" them out: Hide and Seek! We have a lake in the backyard and I love wading in it, but I'm not confident enough to go swimming. My master bought me a life jacket to help me swim or float along easier. Enjoy the pictures my MamaMuffin posts. She can get annoying with the camera...everyday she takes a picture, or so it seems.

and my brother Dillon Murphy

My brother came to us through Dennis's wonderful mom. He is also a Jack Russell Terrier and the vet gave him a birthday of May 1st. He's so much fun to play with and I'm able to teach him tricks, along with my MamaMuffin. MamaMuffin and I will write for him because too young to blog, but we'll convey his thoughts as best we can.

A day full of NOTHING

Oh, what an early morning I had- trying to wake up MamaMuffin. She ignored me for a while and then she tricked me: she took me downstairs and plopped onto the sofa to go back to sleep- THE NERVE OF THAT WOMAN. She decided after a few minutes she missed the bed and hobbled back upstairs and I followed. She finally woke up and did some running around, leaving me here with Dennis. I love hanging out with Dennis and sitting in his chair in his room. MamaMuffin cooked up some chipotle-scallion burgers and chili mac and cheese for her and Dennis (and then she secretly gave me some of the burger), MamaMuffin never feeds me from her hand (except my training treats) and she never gives me human food- (except my favorite hot dog treats for my green ball), but somehow good yummy human food ends up in my bowl- every once in a great while though. Maybe she's secretly giving me food- hmm, something to think about. Can't wait to see what tomorrow will hold, maybe MamaMuffin will let me dip my paws into the lake by the mailboxes...I like water access from there better than the backyard.
