I knew this boy was going to be trouble b/c he's so damn smart.
At this moment the boys are "wrestling" and having fun. Aussie fell off the couch and then "asked" (gave manners) Dillon if he could come up??? What a funny Aussie, I invited him back up.
Okay, this is where little Dillon showed me his clever side: I went out this morning for coffee with the girls, left at about 8:30am. As I'm driving I realized I forgot to put the blockade in front of the gate; Dillon can squeeeze through part of the gate. I quickly thought, "oh, no...he must be too big now..." All right, I got a home a couple hours later and there the boys are behind the gate- both of them. I noticed a few things scattered on the floor downstairs and I dismissed it thinking Dillon must have gotten into these things before I left without me noticing. Then I see a few more things and I'm thinking I'm going crazy- there's litter everywhere, then I went upstairs and there was a mess that I know wasn't there when I left. This dog (oh yeah, it was ALL Dillon) must have gotten out of the gate, played around, tore up some stuff, ran around and then slipped back behind the gates- to which I should have been none the wiser to, except for the disaster he left behind. Oh, my smart little puppy, what a funny dog...I knew he was going to be trouble, but I love trouble and how could I not love a clever little dog like Dillon? He may end up being the leader of the pack afterall. I continue to favor Aussie's dominance and it can come out, but Dillon is much more aggressive (at this momemt, he's annoying Aussie with a toy)...I'm enjoying every minute of watching Dillon grow up and watching Aussie handle his new role as big brother. I love my boys.
All About Aussie
- Aussie
- I am the Australian born puppy of Matt and Nina. Matt named me Aussie, but my birth certificate name is Wildenfox Earl Jackaroo. Wildenfox Earl is for my parents and Matt gave me Jackaroo, which is the Australian equivalent of cowboy. I am an AKC certified Jack Russell Terrier. I can sit, stay, give manners, give high and low five. I only speak on command and when MamaMuffin yelps "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie"! I recently learned how to roll over, that was fun. Nina taught me how to fetch, which took quite a while, but I eventually got it. My favorite toy is my green ball that Matt and Nina put hot dogs in and I throw the ball to release the hot dogs. It keeps me entertained for at least an hour. I also enjoying finding MamaMuffin and Master. I stay in the kitchen, they hide and then bark, indicating it's time for me to "seek" them out: Hide and Seek! We have a lake in the backyard and I love wading in it, but I'm not confident enough to go swimming. My master bought me a life jacket to help me swim or float along easier. Enjoy the pictures my MamaMuffin posts. She can get annoying with the camera...everyday she takes a picture, or so it seems.
and my brother Dillon Murphy
My brother came to us through Dennis's wonderful mom. He is also a Jack Russell Terrier and the vet gave him a birthday of May 1st. He's so much fun to play with and I'm able to teach him tricks, along with my MamaMuffin. MamaMuffin and I will write for him because too young to blog, but we'll convey his thoughts as best we can.
